Pls give ur opinions and ideas for the next meet/drive.

Thambi suggests the following

Drive to pulicat lake. Take some eats/drinks, settle down under a tree, sing some songs if you must, talk if you must & spend the day & return in the evening. I heard that there is boating also. Maybe good for bringing your family too, if you must.
Now, i must go.

Sorry, it is not in bangy, neither are there any KFs.

For the ignoramus, this place is on the Andhra Border, north of chennai. Probably 60-70Kms away, not sure about that. SB knows this place a lot better than i do. SB ?

Why dont you guys all come to the track with the families. There's beer, biryani and refreshments. the kids can sit and pose in the racing cars. Theres a drag on. Refreshments, clean toilets, viewing stands etc etc.

And ofcourse entry to the track is free.

You guys are great. You have a track in your neighbourhood, there's a drag and a bunch of races being held there, and you want an idea for a meet? Sheesh.

Yeah, pray for a track.

Do you seriously think the track is a place for a meet ? you did not come, but i was there for the last track day which was more or less a private one & who could meet who ? (Imagine a public track day/drag day slated for this weekend). i did not even have an idea of who all came from bangalore until i saw some cars on the track & made some enquiries. I still don't know who was in the palio adventure. Nice guys though, they had a problem with the engine oil leak. did anyone come around to that ????

Even when you did come for the yelagiri meet, most of the folks didn't even know that you had come for the meet.

From the above experience, i feel that the track is not necessarily the best place to meet. Heck, yelagiri was fantastic. we met so many fun guys from bangalore. Would love to do it another time. cheers

Next destination should be Yercaud. Wonderful place. So when are we setting up the dates and plan?

Akshay, our idea of fun doesn't necessarily have to be everyone's idea of fun too. I do agree with John with the fact that a track would hardly make for a good destination for a meet. All competitors will be in one corner and the spectators will be spread in different areas either trying to get the best view or because of the towers being over crowded. That said, I would love to meet as many of you who come to the track.

Kindly make sure that in all the meets we have an intro section once everyone assembles. Its tough to remember names. Its even tougher to go to each one of them and enquire their tags etc (and many get left out). Get all seated in a circle, and then begin the intro's. That way everyone will get to know about the other.
