Drive to Mutha Ghat & Lavasa, 11th Nov. (Pune & Bombay) EDIT: Pics. - Team-BHP

Fellow car and bike enthusiasts,

we are organising a drive to Mutha Ghat and Lavasa on 11th November 2007,

the plan is as under:

PLAN1:
08:00hrs : group up at chandni chowk and head towards Lavasa
09:30hrs : regroup at the end of Lavasa ghat for some snacks (which will be carried from pune)
10:00hrs : we head to Mulshi Dam and proceed to the whistling woods. Have fun, chill, do a round of tamhini ghat if everyone is up for it!
13:00hrs : proceed to Cafe Paradise for lunch
14:30hrs : head back to pune!

so guys, post in your confirmations and Everyone's invited!

The date is fixed, so please do not put up posts like: "ohh please change the date, i already have plans, etc."

Gave this thread a 5 star Shrivz. Thats the way to go. Shouldn't let people get over memories of their first drive before the next one's organized.

Hi Swapnil, this one will take some effort from the Bombay section of team-bhpians in the form of getting up on time. You guys will need to atleast set off by 7:00 am from Bombay and reach by 9:00 am latest. After 9:00 am there is some traffic we'll encounter to reach the lovely stretch of roads leading to Lavasa which are absolutely traffic free for 30 kms.

Viper did a run from Dadar to the meeting point in 1 hour flat! But he left at 6:30 am for that. I am sure most of you can sacrifice one Sunday morning sleep for this one. It is worth it. Once you guys reach here it is very easy to get to Lavasa (roughly about 38 - 40 kms) and a breeze filled with lovely (pothole and traffic free roads).

Let us know what more info you need. Will love to coordinate.

Instead of coming to Chandni chowk all the way, isnt there a shorter route to lavasa for the mumbai boys? like a talegaon or a vadgaon exit and then to lavasa?

No Scooby sir, there is no alternative. As a matter of fact you guys do not need to enter Pune city at all. The meeting point is on a 4 lane section of the Golden Quadrilateral and well outside Pune city limits. And about 18 kms from the end of expressway on this stretch of Bangalore highway. I am sure you guys wouldn't need directions when Jiggy and V-16 know the meeting place.

Moralfibroid dude 11th is Bhau Beej. I dont know about others but my sis will kill me if I disappear on that day as she is coming home for lunch.

Keep it on 18th or later will definitely be there.
