| Senior - BHPian | Does this involve any new initiatives from your end in Kolkata. Kolkata seriously needs some. Beleive me there is a market. The Team Bhp kolkata chapter is a testimony to that. Some of us extend shaving and polishing to super heights. On top of it, there is that usual "jhinchak" demographics too, only most of them dont know where to stop. But, there is just one or two providers per se (which has a shop and workshop in kolkata). What we need is competition, infact a lot of it.

But with the problems you faced in installing the struts on your car, should have been a pointer to where these guys belong.

Tuning, performance parts and even other normal mechanical stuff, however, is not their forte. So I guess that leaves us with zilch in Cal. | |

| Senior - BHPian | What a shame, isn't it? However, it is upto resourceful people with mechanical inclination towards things automotive (infact even on the non-automotive sectors) to do things right. Somebody doing a headers here and an End-can there can be tom-foolery but not serious performance modding. We need mechanical/automobile engineers interested in setting up a performance shop. OT but this is kind of serious...Can we call Kolkata as either Kolkata or Calcutta and not Kolkatta. I have been observing this general mistake at many places without figuring out a real reason for it. Some even say Kolkota or Kolkotta. (I can understand the Kulkutta debacle arising out of replacing C with K, but mainly with people who cannot differentiate between the phonetics of those two alphabets)

| Senior - BHPian | Thats probably asking for the sun and moon underneath the same Calcutta sky. One thing that I have always wondered is, in our region, we dont have many interested engineers from established business background. Blame it on the the philosophy of the region. But this stands true.
