This was a really nice meet. didnt get to talk to some of the senior members much (they were all busy laughing at their own inside jokes ), but still, had a really nice talk.

It was finallyt nice to put faces to names. Nitrous, Headers, Ishan, everyone.

@Zucchero --- You rock man !! Really nice place you have there and thanks for making all the arrangements. He was always the gracious host and was so disturbed when we teetotallers didnt have any coke/sprite to drink !!

@Eddy --- Thanks for dropping me back to the hotel man. Inspite of you having to go all the back to Dwaraka

I'm sorry that you felt that way, but rest assured that many of us 'senior members' were actually meeting for the first time too !! There is no 'senior/junior' business here - feel free to wade in and join the fun.

As for the jokes they were mostly on Mayawati - I dont think she's part of Team BHP, so there was nothing 'inside' about them.

What an awesome and fantastic meet/meat.! Don't remember laughing so much in all of my 48 seasons. A big thanks to Lucky a.k.a Zucchero for being the purrfect host as ever. Not a strand out of place. Made all of us feel at home and was personally looking after each one of us Brats. I could never emulate him.

What to say about our 'overcoated' Ishaan? As efficient in collecting 'haftaa' as in organising.

Thank you Steer, Zak, Nitrous and other outstationers for coming; it never appeared as though we were meeting for the first time. Thank you first timers too. Will see a lot more of you in future meets\meats.

It was also quite nice to hold classes of English language and correct usage of 'eyes' for our outstation visitors who benefitted from my experience...! I'm sure this is one lesson that they will never forget for a long time to come. Sam 'yeti' Kapasi was already enlightened about this in the last meet/meat and shall vouch for it.

And a big thanks to our mallu from Freedabad - KP_Zen for guiding two drunks, driving behemoths on the right path. Suman & I reached our home at 1:15.

Sad we had to leave early, but Suman will concur that it was better to leave early than facing an irritated & angry 'bitter half' in the morning...

I think quite a bit has already been said so I will try not to repeat. It was, simply, the biggest meet I've attended so far & it was wonderful meeting up with so many like-minded guys (including my Safari brethren) & to finally put a face to a name for the ones I was meeting for the first time. It was also a pleasure to meet the Gurgaon group. Guys, you all rock!!

Steer, it was wonderful to be able to finally meet you face to face after all our earlier interaction on PMs, SMS & phone calls. Hope you had a good flight back.

Zak, Headers, Nitrous, Shrivz, Ali-G, MaserQ, Nikhil, Drivealot, B&T & other outstation members - thanks for affording us an opportunity to shake hands with you. Sam, it was good seeing you again!

Farhan (Sideways) - what can I say apart from the fact that it was a real honour to finally talk to you in person. It is not every day that one gets to meet an ace rallyist!

Zucchero (Lucky), a lot has been said about you already but I will just reiterate - man, you are one hell of a host! It was amazing watching you run around continuously & tirelessly, making sure that everyone had their glasses full & their stomachs loaded! It was great meeting up with you finally!

It was a super drive from Surajkund to Lucky's place, Prajesh was ripping away & I could hear the wonderful exhaust note of Praneet's Zen & see the white lights of Ashthedivx's Optra cutting through the darkness. Not to forget the Scorpio with a dozen lights on the roof - whose was that I wonder?

On arrival, we had a quick round of introductions from those present, which was a good idea in hindsight as it got a tad crowded later & we'd have had trouble getting it right. There had been innumerable calls & sms-es made from late morning onwards to coordinate the arrival times & meeting places. In true NCR style, Ishan was "just 5 minutes away" from Lucky's place for a good couple of hours! But when he finally arrived with the chief guests, it was worth the wait - pure unadulterated fun started flowing!

There were people everywhere! And they kept coming lol! I think people were walking in till midnight or even later! I think our own version of Pran (Panky12345) strolled in with a bottle under his arm pretty late in the day!

GD & me had a fasssst ride back to Gurgaon through the Pahari road & I was pleasantly surprised to see the Phase V lights come up so quickly - I had expected it would take a while longer. And sorry for leaving early, it was a long drive back through an unknown road so I didn't want to invite trouble by staying on for another couple of rounds.

A special round of thanks to Zak for the initial impetus, to Ishan for organizing it, to Steer for keeping us entertained from prior to the meet with the Auto Expo pics, to LBM for the maps & directions, to Prajesh for guiding us out of Freedabad, to our host for giving us the great venue & to all the others who put in a lot of hard work including running around & fetching the soda & the soft drinks & juices!

Look forward to the next one guys, lets do another one before the winter disappearscheers:

Overcoated - lol, that was a good one! GD, you are an out of this world entertainer man, I think it would have been quite a mundane meet without you! Thanks for your memorable quotes, its not everyday that we meet a person who has "intimate" memories of CM namesakes!
