It will be more fun as a convoy. If the convoy is not happening or you miss it, here goes:

Wyte Fort - Aroor (after toll gate) - 4 lane starts here and ends just after Hotel Karthyayini, Cherthallai - continue in Cherthallai byepass and on to the two lane part of NH47 - Eventually you will come to a junction with new signal lights - cross the bridge (Savakkotta Bridge) and go straight - cross a junction (Convent square) - cross a wide bridge Kannan Varkey bridge) and go straight - left at the the next junction (Collectorate junction) - cross a junction (Vellakinar junction) - right at T junction (Medical College junction, you will see a 'GENERAL HOSPITAL' board right opposite) - another 22kms+ you will see Kalpakavadi inn on the right side.

There are two of them and I am not sure which one is the meeting venue.

The initial request was to meet earlier at about 11.30AM.

Confirm the venue and time. I will confirm my presence later.

convoy from whyte fort will be good. if everyone promises to get there on time(what is the time?) and if everyone promises to keep speeds below 100kmph(last meet i was guilty as the others for ripping on the kundanoor-Island stretch) there was no rash driving done by any members, but its easy to see how a harmless bit of accelerator tickling can degenerate into a serious orgy of road racing.
I'm getting old you see.

Hi, so I beleive it's on 17th. Not sure though as we have some office functions on ths weekend, but will try to club with Sankar and come. Anyway whats the itineary after lunch?

initial timmings were 11:30 am kalpakavadi inn,the second one when comming from ekm and the first one from tvm.spend some time there have lunch and the drive.

umm so to meet at Kalpakavadi at 11 30 we should leave from cochin by about 9 30-10??? I'm in .. but let us decide on a time and place for sure first

meeting at kalpakavadi at 1130 is pointless,
as it is
1. too early for lunch
2. too late to beat the traffic

since we are going to have with deal with traffic anyway, might as well meet at whyte fort at 1100hrs, then , travel as convoy to kalpakavadi.

have lunch at 1300, finish by 1400hrs or so, then let ram hyundai lead us on a merry trip around allepey.

on the return trip to cochin, if anyone is still game, we could stopover at mararikulam beach, get off the crowded two lane NH and return to it when the 4 lane starts at cherthala, via arthungal.

OK, so it is like 1PM at Kalpakavadi (1st one from TVM side). And the guys from Cochin come in a convoy leaving around 11AM. Sounds good. Will keep checking this thread for updates.

The merry drive is around Alleppey? Umm umm.... It starts from Thottappally and ends near Kayamkulam. We'll spend most of the time at some good beach on the way it seems.
