Hyd F1 off track meet - 16th march.

Yo lets have a meet and watch the F1. This is the first time an indian team is participating in F1.

We have two options:

1. meet without alcohol. (Families can be included.)

2. alcohol is required.

please put your voice here.

my first choice is option 1, but if the option 1 is out numbered then i dont mind with option 2.

the decision of the venue shall depend on the above options.

the following are the venues in mind:

for the option 1
1. cafe latte on rd#36 banjara hills. For 1000/- we get a mini theater with a projector and screen for 5 hours. (how many of you say its worth paying 1000 bucks)

2. HABITS LOUNGE. somewhere near kondapur. suppose to be a cool hang out place for a group of people. i yet to find about the facilities over there.

if any of you been to the above mentioned places please share it here. if you have any information on the place, price, ambience, food&brewerages or any information please put it here.

As for the option 2.(alcohol)

1. golden cave, near ameerpet. There we get a good sized screen and also its going to be a day time, we can ask them to put the star sports channel for us. Also one of our member is a regular visitor there.

2. silver plate. Near paradise hotel. Though a small screen and not so well known place i liked the ambience there. Also the food is good.

in both the above cases families ruled out.

if any suggestion please feel free.

the TIME of the meet is not finalised yet, it depends on the timing of the race on the tv some thing like a half hour prior to the race so that we can have an intro session.

ok everybody,

here is the timing,

9:45AM - the F1 race starts.

So lets fix the meeting time as 9:00AM, i know it sounds too early but we will get time to have an intro session.

DATE: 16th March, Sunday.

As for the venue,
I have chosen the HABITS LOUNGE (non-alcoholic) as its a morning and atleast one of the members suggested to include the family.

I wont be able to make it because of some family commitments at home. But maybe I can bump into you guys after lunch if any plan. I will also give out the stickers to whoever wants them. Sreenivas has already been waiting for a few.

Sorry, me too will not be able to make it. Couple of reasons

a) i will be attending a mother of all parties on Saturday and i am sure i will get back home around the time of our meet. Exaggerating but, it will be something like that.

b) if i am awake, i would love seeing the race on my big screen at home

Habits Lounge is an lovely place and i have seen the facilities.Their gaming room is superb for Melbourne opener.I know the owner of Habits Lounge and we can get some discount and a book the gaming room for free of cost.

another sorry for posting this here, but i don't know where else to put this small info: Gem motors is conducting a *free* check up camp opposite to tanla solutions,near Hitex junction. Its on 13th and 14th (tommorrow and day after). Got an sms now from them as i got my last service done there. Called back; *free* means oil top ups(might not be useful) and under body checkups.
Starts at 9am and lasts till 11pm(both timings may not be practically implemented).
Anyone passing by can avail it if they want a basic checkup.Its for any Maruti car.

@deetee : gem is known for its bad customer service... bought 3 cars from there and hell lotta problems not with the car but with the after sales service.
