You are better of on 4 wheels in this weather. Also you will be absolutely alone for almost 75% of the drive/ride as I guess the cars will all be taking the expressway unless you have some biker company.

How about getting the Baleno for a change? Do you realise the Amby has no brakes? Coming down Lavasa would be a sight for me. I'll take an in car video footage of you because I know Karl can drift down the slopes without brakes. Been there, seen that. Get your Baleno. MK1 Amby = Bad idea.

Well if Dan and Co. don't leave by 6:00 am, the drive will be a total waste since a lot of traffic piles up on the road. You'll curse your choice of choosing to drive on this road.

Plus, haven't you been saying you were dying to go for a drive ever since you missed out on Goa?

Well if Dan and Co. don't leave by 6:00 am, the drive will be a total waste since a lot of traffic piles up on the road. You'll curse your choice of choosing to drive on this road.

True, the road will be very crowded on any weekend. Why not have the drive sometime during the week instead. Like thursday.

I'm taking the Baleno anywhichways.. What I meant was, I'd convince Karl to take his Amby which he would be driving err.. drifting!

just back from Lavasa ride.. did it all alone.

Buggers didnt allow me past the barricade near the dam, as there was some accident that took place about 2 Kms from there. Roads were completely blocked they said. Met some bikers - seemed to be the RSA guys. I guess even they were not allowed in.

Roads are as good as they were the last time we went there. Except for the loose gravel part, rest all is good to go.

@manson - better you chose to ditch the bike plan.

PS: have a short video of ride back - will post the youtube link later on - only for people coming to lavasa for the first time
