Update:

Its 8 am here and I'm still at home. No, I did not opt out of the meet last minute. We were supposed to leave latest at 6. But after waking up Zak at 5:30, there's no news from him. Steer and I have been trying his number but there's no answer. Looks like its on silent mode. Suggestions are welcome to wake up this sleeping dementor.

To be fair to Zak he did call me at 5.30 and we planned to leave by about 7 as I was too lazy to get out then...no news thereafter, though.

OK. another update. Zak was indeed awake at that time. Due to an emergency, he had to take his grandmom to the hospital and forgot his phone at home. Hence no answer to the numerous calls. Granny is fine and back home now. Zak SMSed back just now.

Welcome to Zak's punctual world Wheeler! And no point of any suggestions, "He's like this wonly" as Steer & other Kochi TBHpians will testify!

Just read about Zak's grandmom, sorry Zak was just pulling your leg about your punctuality. Hope she's doing fine now.

Raghavaa! I'll pull your legs next time we meet and I'll clap my hands in joy when I see it dancing in the air.

Grandmom is fine. She wasn't feeling well from last night. Now, she's comfortable at home after a small stint at the hospital.

Very sorry that our drive had to be cancelled due to me. We'll compensate that tomorrow. What say?

Tomorrow, if we are starting after 9 in the morning, I can make it. Not before. Promised a friend that I'd help in setting up his new house today evening. So staying overnight at his place.

Some random pics from the drive today, in no particular order. We had a good drive from DXB to Fujairah via the Kalba mountain road and returned via Masafi/Dibba - the usual suspects were there, PLUS Joz who will soon be a Dubai regular:
