ha ha nitrous, your avatar is great!

Guys, with the current diesel shortage, we'd better find an eco friendly way to get there. Ofcourse, my CRDi is always game, SB - sad, we are not dragging though!

Had a big fight with the usual petrol station guy 10 minutes back. He was rationing Diesel and thankfully, tanked up my car.

Howz the fuel scene in Bangalore?

I'd prefer to start post lunch say 1:00ish to reach Pondy by 3PM. That would give us half a day to work!

Am just in for the drive and Drinks though.

EL : Am sure you are in for a DRAG!

@SB : next time, we have to go the place arka was suggesting.

It is a fortress in ruins that comes about 50 Kms before Pondi (from Chennai). It has back waters, and I was there once long back (2003 / 2004), sitting / lying in the water will taking in "water" cheers:

That said, there is not much to see in terms of sight-seeing. More info: Alamparai Fort - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Try a Google Images search for Alamparai, and you will get some. The pics I had shot back then in my P900 are at home...

@ SB - I am still hopeful, but then I would like to have a seat reserved in case it doesn't and I have hitch a ride. Btw, whatz that about not going above 3rd??

5 guys (bottle, vince, saiyan, ajo & nick) preferred leaving around 11:30-12, while nitrous & phoenix preferred 3PM. header's idea of 1PM departure is like in between both options and should be OK with all I guess. If so, we meet at TIDEL Park around 12:30PM and leave at 1PM for Pondy.

No issues. If your Getz comes, that would be awesome. And then I dump the Dicor/Esteem for a ride with you in the diesel-rocket. If not, you can always hitch a ride.

Thanx mate - lets do what we are good at (pray, drink, etc) for my pocket rocket to come within my grasps before we start - too many a delay it has been

Dragging is fun. You'd run in your car - "The italian way" as some people suggest! LOL

Keeping you in leash is simple. We could tow you around!

Hey John, I was mentioning the one-and-only race-spec cardboard Esteem of our Chennai tbhp youth nitrous, not the green one.

This dragging thing seems to have spread like an epidemic, what with even Jeeper arka getting afflicted with it. Look forward to the December drag between arka's petrol Jeep and manek's 5-speed M800.
