As of now, the only Bangy boys that have expressed interest are you (tentative) and iceman91 (amit). Am not sure if Amit is coming with some friends.

I see that kb100 has voted for the 30-31Aug date. Ha, so we will have member(s) from Coimbatore also. Great. This sure is turning interesting.

SB, that's an approx 600km drive you are looking at. Goa-BLR.

Guys,

I am in for the 30/31st weekend. Will be coming with wifey. Do let me know if any money for bookings need to be transferred. No specific room preference, as long as the place is decent enough for a lady to stay.

Cheers,

Rajan

You're welcome, PatchyBoy - nice to have guys from Blore/Cbe etc joining. So condor, you've got company from Blore.

We have more-or-less narrowed down our hotel choice to St.James Resort and I think we would need to get rooms booked by atleast mid-August, which is like a week away. By that time, we would get a better picture of who all is confirmed and can do the bookings by paying rent in advance. So, around that time, me/esteem_lover would contact the confirmed members for their share of the room-rent.

BTW, is Pondy costlier than Goa as far as accomodation is concerned?

See these figures from the Goa meet thread.

First non-a/c option comes to just 200 per person while the a/c option comes to a mere 235 per person. Or is it that Pondy does not have similar rental-apartment options ?

Default Calling Shekaran...

I think John was joking about the drag. So, no plans for dragging on public roads.

But offroading could be a possibility if headers is bringing his Gypsy to Pondy. Or if Arka is joining in his Jeep or even better the Nissan 1-Tonne.

@Shekaran, if you get some time any of these days, would it be possible to drop in at the St.James resort ? You could check out the 3 types of rooms available and also work out some good discounts on their rack rates (citing bulk reservation and possible future corporate bookings from Chennai). I got a 15% off at Mass Hotel just by showing my visiting card. So no harm in giving it a try.

And you could even do a tentative verbal booking (of say 5 Deluxe rooms and 1 Executive Suite) with the promise that we would wire the money into their account by mid-August or latest by 20th August.

All this time I was thinking that I had PM-ed the thread to the elder brother and when I did not see him commenting on the thread, I attributed it to being busy with the Palar Challenge.

After you mentioned it, I had a look at my PM SentItems now and see that I hadn't. Will send off a PM now itself.

Is the younger brother on tbhp too ? If so, let me know his alias and I will PM him also.

Was supposed to be in town (which was why one of the poll options was this weekend). But since our guys did not show much interest to go to Pondy this weekend, I decided to scoot off to Kerala as usual.

I PM-ed Arka just now. Anyway, please also invite them personally during tomorrow's usual Chennai weekend meet.
