The name of the train is sabari express 7230 leaves Hyderabad at 12 in the afternoon to reach Salem the next day morning 5.25.

The return train leaves from Salem at 7.20 in the evening and reaches Hyd'bd at 1.40 in the afternoon next day.

But the better option in my opinion is for you to catch the Kacheguda - Bangalore express which leaves from Kacheguda at 7 in the evening to reach Bangalore early next morning around 6 tag with any of the Bangalore gang who is willing to pick you up at either Bangalore Cant or East stations you would reach Yercaud by 10.30 in the morning.

Similarly leave from the Yercaud with the Bangalore gang, get dropped at Bangalore Cant station, catch the return Bangalore - Kacheguda express which leaves from Bangalore at 6.20 in the evening to reach Kacheguda at 5.40 in the morning. This would allow you to spend more time at Yercaud and also leave from Hyd'bd after work and reach Hyd'bd back in time for work on Monday.

I will wait till everyone finalise their plan and see which combination suits me.

I might come down to b'lore team up with the b'lore boys / chennai annas and in the return, i might take the train from salem if the b'lore boys / chennai annas intend to leave a bit late. Also i dont want to put pressure on either chennai annas or bangy boys to start early so that i can catch a train. That way we all can have some rest after lunch.

Just spoke to Mr. Suraj of Grange Resorts, Yercaud:

They are a coffee plantation resort and Suraj is ready to organize a Bonfire on Friday Night/Saturday Night
They have the following cottages:

2 Deluxe Villa @ Rs.2532 (1 is already booked)
3 Deluxe Country @ Rs.1857
2 Deluxe @ Rs.1660
4 Std Country @ Rs.1547
2 Basic Standard @ Rs.1125

Extra person @ Rs.338

The rates are inclusive of all taxes and complimentary breakfast.

We have to confirm this week and pay an advance to block the rooms.

Can we have guys confirming up?

Going by the votes, I am looking at 10,11 12th Weekend of October. The plan is to reach Yercaud on Friday night and return on Sunday afternoon. But that can change to Saturday Morning/ Sunday afternoon depending on popular choice.

Rajan, the Grange resort sounds like nice stuff.
But before that we need to finalise the weekend that we are aiming for and also schedule (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun). And only 15 guys have voted, which is a miniscule %age of the target audience we are planning for.

So, guys (from KL/TN/KA/AP) those that have not voted, please do so fast.
Or if you are ok with more than one option, please post the choices on the thread itself.

Let us freeze the dates first and then go ahead with the resort confirmation.

Exactly. Which is why I am asking the guys to confirm up, so that we can look at alternates, if needed. Grange can host a max of 39 people @ 3 per cottage. However, family guys will need a cottage to themselves.

So once again guys, start posting up. As of now we have all of the Grange resort to ourselves, suject to confirmation and an advance payment by Friday this week.
