That's more like it. Extra conjunctions are un-cool . He he. Just joking.
Guys, this meet includes the "better" halves, right?

Off course, people who are still in one piece will have options to take their "to-be" or "never be" or "may be" or "may not be" halves along.

Better halves are obviously included as because its a T-Bhp family picnic (1st time in Kolkata,I may guess) and all 'to be's and 'not to be's are included as well !!

Where are the other members???

PS: AbhisekSircar,we would miss you.Maybe next time..

To all members, who have shown interest for the 23rd November Team-BHP Picnic,Dhulagor Baganbari : Date & venue : Confirmed !

This is MOST URGENT:-

1) Those who have put in their names, can we confirm your attendance?
Also please clearly state number of heads per T-BHP members.
(Unless offcourse there is some urgent family matter or some global catastrophe,we need to know the exact number of attendees)

2)The above question arises in relation to food and beverages. We need to decide what we are going to have.Would it be like any other picnic, where breakfast will be served on arrival and lunch later?Or would it be like one of our meets, and so we would only look forward to lunch?
(My 2 cents would be,lets go for both lunch and breakfast, which can be arranged[I need to talk on this],as there is a cook available along with his helper. That would sound like a proper picnic! In between breakfast & lunch, attendees can enjoy the greenery, swim in the pond, snooze under the palm trees, discuss between MIVEC,ZETEC and Vtec strongly supported by glasses of cool refreshments ;-) )

3)The above question arises because we need to decide the menu then (breakfast, lunch and refreshments). Please urgently pour in with suggestions to decide the menu, which would have to be finalized and then finally ordered. If the number of heads goes up beyond 20,we would probably need to order a caterer, which again can also be arranged.I seriously doubt people will vote for 'packets of biriyani' or something similar in a picnic, which would obviously be cold when actually served! Hope I make myself clear on this.

4)There are lot of Kolkata members, who have not yet responded on this thread. The list is long and includes active members, inactive members and 50:50 members !
(We cannot assume their participation until and unless they themselves confirm. So I would urge those members who have shown interest in this baganbari meet till now,to please convey over phone to those who have missed this thread unfortunately. Also all colleagues at work may be intimated about this picnic-PwC guys, are you listening?!)

5) Please feel free to suggest here to make this picnic a grand success! (There is ample space to do photoshoots of our rides,so more the attendees along with their respective rides, the merrier!)

6)My contact number is in the updated Kolkata T-BHP members list in Excel, circulated in gmail. Quite a few members have my numbers,so feel free to call me for suggestions and other points to ponder.Otherwise, please pm me to confirm your attendance.

Hope everyone will take this in the right earnest!

My wife, my child (5 year old) and myself. So three from us. Except beef we eat everything.
I think you should decide on the breakfast and lunch as well and issue a diktat for others to follow. Don't seek so many opinions on everything. It will be difficult to manage the opinions.

These 0.5s would need more clarification,IMO.The above 5 yr olds probably would be comfortable with adult food, but below that,i guess respective mums need to provide the ration.

15.NOS P (Don't miss our Joseph bhai!)

Is bonobashi available on 23rd? Guess he said 22nd was fine with him,but next day he won't be available.

No cousin bro along with me. I'l come alone.

As for breakfast, i think sandwiches / samosa / kachori + sabzi should be good enough. The cook can make the tea. As for samosa & kachori/sabzi, someone can pick these up from Gurudwara Sharma's ?

Lunch, i think simple chinese should be convineant and good enough.
Daaru - Beer. Can be bought in advance and stored in the fridge. Also we would be needing plenty of soft drinks + fruit juice (tropicana etc). And if someone wants to drink something other than that, please let us know, or they can BYOB ??

Forgot!! We need to have plenty of chanachur + peanuts to go with the daru.
Also, Papa's can arrange to bring some badminton rackets etc for the kiddies to play so they don't get bored with all the car talks.
