Default SUV Meet at Bengaluru.

Hello all,

We Safari Boys in Bangy i.e., Myself/Gowda70/Dadu/DKamat have been mulling over having a Safari Meet in Bangalore for a long time.

For certain reasons, it could'nt happen.

I feel since T-BHP is a bigger ground, we could as well have one SUV Meet.

Anyone with any make / year SUV's / MUV's / Farm Truck or Super SUV's are welcome. Get them all guys.

This meet can be scheduled for II weekend of December/ we can also have tentative dates by anyone.

Lets make it convenient for all to participate.

The meet will start from Esteem Mall on the road to BIAL- Drive to BIAL and on the way back stop at some place for coffee/Tea.

Late afternoons are better since any office goers can hop in to the meet.

Kindly start shooting confirmation for this meet.

Only SUV's and that too in my part of town.

Can non suv's come and gawk??

P.S
Having coffee at the arrival terminal after sunset is cool, you could probably start by 4.30- 5 pm and get your SUV's clicked on the turn off ramp or closer to the terminal with a setting sun in the background.

Something like this

On a clearer day the snaps will turn out very good.

Since this is really not a thread to invite members to take their SUV's & go out on an off-roading excursion or such I am quite saddened to see this segregation of inviting "SUV owners" only.

Anytime except 13th but why only SUVs? Call everybody - it only takes a few minutes to get the SUVs together for a photograph.

I 2nd that, I never knew of something called an SUV meet/ SX-4 owners meet or even a Sparky Meet . LOL !! Whats this getting too ?

I think if its just for the SUV owners you guys might as well sync up between yourselves thru PM's and meet up. Do we need a thread ?

mmmmmm.. on second thoughts I would second what mcl, rj,vj are mentioning.

We can think of that all SUV owners bring in their SUV/MUV etc and folks with cars are more than welcome.

I don't see any reason why cars can't be there -- as long as all SUV owners bring in their steeds and we all can have a big SUV gathering & drive there.

Either case, I am in if it is not on the 13th weekend.

just my $0.02

He he he.. Hari.

To be honest, I was carried away by the SUV meet theme but then later realized that meets are about people first and not cars first.

<heh>

If you want to see a diverse collection of rides, just look at some late round-up posts in the Kolkata meet section.

This K meet started at the opposite end, the people first, cars almost incidental. Of course, the common thread joining all these good people is that they all get excited by matters motoring.

Why don't you split the meet into two - the SUV owners doing a bit more than the general attendees, or something like that? Don't mean to interfere with your do, just a bit of Monday morning quarter-backing.

@Hari, the purpose of this meet seems to be to create another traffic jam in Jam-galooru .. !

Woow..wooow.

I seemed to have stirred a bit of controversy here.

There were no pr-empted intentions in creating this thread.

Lets not politicize this thread any more(it was never in such spirits)

I see some regularly irregular guys for Bangy meets getting so worked up.
We SUV guys will manage it through regular phone calls, let me think about a regular all cars meet and start a thread

Mods Please Delete this thread.

Pavan, I am sure you aren't talk about me being irregular . As for the others mentioned here I can vouch that they have attended a lot more meets than you are aware of.

Its quite sad that you still are stuck up on the "Only SUV guys meet" and not getting our point. Either ways, if thats what suits you fine, kindly go ahead.

Btw, you are welcome for the Yelagiri drive happening this December. Though I can't promise you if the "hatcback, sedan guys" will stop pulling your leg . Just kidding, hoping to see you at the drive.
