Avi,
actually we should have the concept of Escort and Pilot(our own members, ofcourse!!) on long drives and these vehicles are supposed to keep our speed/driving responsible. This will help all of us to enjoy and be safe for our cars and ourselves.
I am seriously proposing this to our TBHP-Hyd chapter!!
all members, Do let me know your thoughts!
I second Ravveendra, My take is we all should pitchin for the expenses-does not matter whose car it is!!

I totally agree with Getsurya...our meets are supposed to be an enjoyable rides.A pilot and escort would ensure that we drive in safe speed and no one shows off their engine power.I heard that some of the drivers on Bidar meet were doing 160km and ripping.Thats a bit dangerous and especially when families are around with us.Lets us institute some code of driving conduct here. What do other Team Bhpians say to this?

How about my zen being the escort, it being the slowest among the other T-Bhp Hyd cars with just 998 cc under the hood?

Jokes apart, I second the idea of having an escort for our trips or a speed limit set by a bigger vehicle (mHawk or Safari) and all others follow, no overtaking the lead vehicle, etc.

Srikanth, on a serious note, that's a wonderful idea. The only folks that i see who are immensely going to benefit out of this is myself and Zen91 as we are constantly trying to out-do each other with speeds crossing 160kmph some times.

That was me and zen91 racing at those reckless speeds. My poor car came second because of much better driving skills of Brajesh bhai

Well, luck smiled twice at me so i guess i have learnt a lesson now, so no more speeding from my end. I will try to lock my speed at 140kmph....jokes apart, no my speeds are going to take a steep nosedive, hereafter.

Pulsar56, when the god's name did you take these pics. Btw, have you started playing GT5? Do send me the cheat codes once you complete and also for the the games that you shared with me.

Ok guys, can't wait for the Nizam Club meet

If we are going to get a pilot car and a tail car for the convoy, I suggest we go the whole hog and get black Scorpios or white Safaris / ambys with the lal battis, running boards, grab handles etc. Only modification to the general theme is that the grey safari suited thugs be replaced with female bodyguards in hot-pants and tank tops, with them hanging onto / out of, the lead car, we will rest assured that none of the Hyd-TBHPians will ever overtake the Pilot vehicle, being the 'spirited' lot we are!

More seriously, let us try the driving in a convoy for a drive or two. In my experience, driving in a convoy is not easy as each driver has his own comfortable speed, braking patterns, cornering style etc. if there is a total mis-match in driving styles, being in a convoy can be dangerous.

Cheers.

Great idea! I'd like to be seated in the lead car in that case. I can forsake the great thrills a Laura offers in such a case!

But behold, there is an even greater danger of scores on autos on the highway making sudden U turns to have a glimpse---you know what I mean !!!

Venu sir & Raveendra, Sure both of you can be seated in the lead cars!! only difference is it will be one of our own cars and no imported cheerleaders.....oops!! I mean the speed regulators!!

Guys, this reminds me of our Rajinder Dhabas another drive meet planning....somewhere near Rajahmundry(aka peddapuram...)

So, I guess if we were to do that, we shall have FULL representation from our chapter!! Cool!! We always are very clear of our priorities, RIGHT!!??

@Ashish, thanks. It ain't that bad as it sounds here. LOL

Guys, the escort car discussion is taking full fledge shape. Let's give it a shot next time. But we need the pilot and escort together at all times.

Srikanth's Scorpio in front and 3.0L bull of Himanshugoswami behind.

And, all our small piddly cars sandwiched in between desperately keeping our nose above the sadwich to quickly gasp in some fresh air.

, Guys, i am getting my red beast back this evening. I can't wait to lay my hands on her again.

I am tired of driving the Hyundai i10 around, it's so boring to drive a petrol after driving a Pete'd Viva

Srikanth, i'll contact you soon to adorn it with better rubber. Expect my contact after Feb 28th. Why Feb 28th? I think theodre and rajesh will know it better..LOL
