Btw, personally i am not too keen for a water theme park, since we need to prance around in shorts et. all, it will graphically remind me of my huge one-pack and may force me into a big depression
I too, am a little wary about the water thingy just before the exams. We dont want the lill Einsteins to fall ill. (If they do, our backsides gonna be kicked by their vigilant mommas.)

One can also consider Alankrita etc.

Cheers.

Lets space out the meet to 21st Feb as we have just met yesterday.
Pragati resort has a very good ambeince.Plus we can plan some nice outdoor activities and games..they even have mini golf i guess.
Lets drop Occean Park all togather seeing the above posts.

I agree about spacing out. In fact, i was thinking the last weekend of this month would be most ideal. But, lets see the majority and take a call.

Pragati Resorts would be a good idea!

Dont we have any other water parks nearby other than these?

The reasons why we thought of a Water Park was because
1. The weather is not too hot yet to get out during the afternoons. This is the only time that you will be able to do this.
2. The family can have a good time as well instead of just sitting and listening to us talk about cars
3. We get to show off our one pack abs (I dont have any issues). In case you want 2 packs you still have 2 weeks. Interested parties can try out the Kelloggs K Program!
4. The last one i visited was in 2004 in Delhi which was VERY clean.

But hearing the various comments from the various members i am assuming the parks are not really kept that well maintained. Can one of us goto Mount Opera and just do a quick recce with some photographs. I can do that with Ocean Park since i am closer to it. Maybe then we can take a call whether we want to hit one of these places or not.

I'm not too keen with the resorts suggestions. The resorts would be good no doubt but i'm more keen to try out the rides @ the water parks!

I have been to Pragati resorts, and it is a cool place to spend a day....the food was pretty good, dunno about the rest of the consumables

they have a package of 450 per head that includes breakfast, lunch and evening tea and use of facilitites. and their water slides are wicked.

i would recommend this place.

EDIT: how about a toss up between alankrita and pragati. I have heard good things aout alankrita as well, but never been there.

That's good feedback Himanshu. Even, i heard good things about Pragati, never been there before thought.

Btw, i have been to Alankrita a 1000 times ( not literally) and their food used to be good but,now it is just expensive and not tasty at all. However, their environs are quite nice. And, they have an indoor swimming pool for the tan concious people.

Bidisha's name has been deleted from the list . I hope it is not deliberate cause she keeps lurking on the forum and reading the posts.
