Perhaps I should have red-lined at 6 K to give Ravvs a tough fight, or perhaps switched off the AC ----this happens automatically in the GTX though--you have an advantage there, Ravvs!
Anyways, there is always a next time

BTW that was a splendid mail to the PUG that Ravvs wrote.
Yes, the GTX is set to cut off the A/c. if the engine is lugged but, my A/c. never went off on that drive. I was shifting up at 5500 and was nowhere near the red line. I remember that stretch where I was following you, what did the Fiesta in was the poor surface which I ignored to overtake you.

I do not enjoy flat out racing and I enjoyed playing tag with Brajesh where we would overtake each other every few km. Being in the lead on what passes for our highways is truly a pain with one having to keep an eye out for wayward chappies like our Oscar winning auto chappie in Ghanpur, the cyclist playing 'interceptor' on the way to Chirala or the old lady who decided to take a stroll across the road just before NSD.

Cheers,

Where did you get 12 seconds of free stretch to do the test?

Arrey yaar, I was going to the airport to pickup a relative, road was empty and the tarmac beautiful.....just could not resist it . touched 140 before backing off. And then, later I was travelling in the evening to airport again, in a rickety wargon R that topped out at 80 kph, only this time to catch a flight to delhi.....

Guys, its about time now. Let's start the discussion when and where we are meeting next

OPTION 1
I am proposing a dinner meet on Aug 14th. What say? if most of you ok, i can scout for a good place for us to get together.

OPTION 2
We can meet at some dhaba in Shamirpet or Bowenpally for lunch, it will serve the purpose of a short drive as well as a lunch meet.

This can be done on Aug 15th.

Ideas, Ideas, Ideas??????

My vote goes for this. If the weather is good we can drive down to Narsapur forest (on Nizamabad/Bodhan route, 25 KM from Balanagar), wander around for a couple of hours, and settle for lunch at any of the dhabas near Satyam Technology center near Bahadurpally.

Ok guys, so option 2 is ruled out since it is clashing with showcase of vintage cars and bikes at chowmallah.

So it is either Aug 14th for dinner meet

OR

Aug 22 ( saturday for a drive and lunch meet at any nearby dhabas)

Let the confirmations follow and based on majority we'll decide
