Entire drive was pleasant with lots of curvy roads and quite a bit of unadulating roads, return drive had a bit more in store for us with Suren's Bobby suddenly developing highway jitters and Milecruncher's Uno showing its stubborness by not even reaching the drive point early during the day ( gear box issue)

But, all of us stuck together and got the Bobby ( loaded on a mad cap speedster auto) and the same auto towing MC's Uno too. That was an unbeilevable feat. Kudos to him !

Not forgetting Suren who should be presented with the gallantry award for a) making to this drive meet of 200kms up and down b) that too on his Rajdoot Bobby, awesome buddy !

It was great fun and thanks to all of you for making it. It was my pleasure of arranging for food et. all even if the money spent and recovered didnt match

My i10 Kappa was a revelation, it was flying on the highway and nowhere did it show that it was lacking in power and i was quite pleased with its performance on the highway. It just needs thicker rubber to take on some of you better drivers.

So what do you guys prefer for the next meet before we close November'09? Dinner or Movie meet? Come up with your suggestions and aye's.

Nazim, keep posting the pictures. The entire ton if possible...LOL

P.S: Just met the T-shirt making fella who dropped at my place. He says, the quality (thickness) of the t-shirt will be same as last time. If we are ok with that we can go ahead and give him the order. Note the color combination would be :-

White T-Shirt ( with Maroon/Red and Black lettering).

Who all are interested, confirm your names ASAP.

Over to Ravvs now for a nice report

i wish i was there too. I hope next time I will be a part of the drive.

Avi - I filled my details in the sheet. Do i need to confirm by PM to anyone?

I have updated the spreadsheet for the change in quantity. One for my cousin who was on the drive last weekend.

@Pulsar56: Lovely pictures ... Thanks for PMing the pictures as well.

Guys, let me know whom to send the Vit M for Tees and how much?

Cheers.

T-shirt fella called me today during lunch time and here is an update after some negotiations :-

1. Quality of current black tbhp t-shirt ( 220GSM-240GSM) will cost around Rs.280 inclusive of VAT

2. I checked a lower GSM quality ( 180GSM-220GSM) and it will cost little lesser but they wont have XXL size in that.

Option 1

Order all sizes in lower GSM except XXL which will be in previous quality (240GSM)

Option 2

Order all sizes in same GSM as current black t-shirt (240GSM)

I would recommend Option 2. Also, i coaxed him into giving a bigger than XXL size which is XXXL. I am going for 3XL as previous size was quite tight. Anyone else wants 3XL, make the changes to excel sheet accordingly.

Dough to be collected will be Rs.300/T-Shirt ( to compensate for minor changes/drop outs....whatever)

@Nazim, is it possible for you to dig out the pictures of our previous t-shirt posted somewhere in March'09 meet thread and post it here? Not people wearing it but t-shirt images.

Lets take people's suggestions for which color to go for "Love cars, Live cars" back portion. Red or Black ( on white background)

Thanks Nazim, I think black letterings go quite well on a white background ( for the back side caption).

What say, shall we finalize the same?

Final Set of Pics: <Phew>

I have clicked all the pics in RAW format and then processed them for the first time.
i noticed that some of them were little darker on my office CRT monitor compared to my XPS's LCD.
Well, it's all part of the learning process.

Updated mine too on the spreadsheet. Folks, spread the word and lets close this by this weekend.

Now the question remains how to collect the money?

The good old traditional way - have a Lunch meet!

Let us have this meet soon as it may be one of my last.

Cheers,
Really? Are you contemplating harakiri?
Lunch meet sounds nice---how about a repeat of the Yoko meet? I guess the offer must be still on.

BTW, your car looks freshly painted, right?
