That will give some clarity and help in the decision making process.

Yes Sir. Departure - Saturday early morning, arrival in cochin same day afternoon. Stayback overnight - with evening leisure meet (with cochinites). Sunday morning - 1/2 local sightseeing..start by 11:00 ..will be back at Blore by 10:00 pm latest.

I can add one more day - by putting leave, if others can do the same too.

Just to put all the thoughts in the right direction, distance from Bangalore to Cochin is roughly about 550 kms one way!

Good Info. It actually ranges from 460 km - 510 km depending on which route we are taking. With all kinds of driving, halt and on-the-way sight seeing it will not go beyond 10 hours for the entire stretch. With a moderate pushing it is 7 hours (as mentioned by senior veterans earlier). (seems easy comapred to the same day OOTY to-and-fro )
