Lunch Meet - Thane - Kashid - Thane

Sen 2009 confirmed for 23rd May, 2010. Any Venue will be good.
There are two great places on NH3 - but I guess that's be about 60-70KM drive. If that's okay, then I can post details of the places.

One of them is Bhagat Tara Chand's dhaba.

Sen2009,

Tara Chand is too crowded and generally they like their patrons to come in eat and go that too quietly like mama's boys. Besides a drive on the Nasik highway is neither as scenic nor enjoyable as on the Ghodbunder road and the NH beyond towards Silvassa. Just my opinion, Do suggest the other place though.

If I recall there are a couple of places on the Ghodbunder road itself around the Octroi Checkpost and the Volvo service centre. Can any member provide details?

Yes I did see few Dhabha/Resturants on Ghodbunder; ample space for parking. Shelter Farms looked good to me

How about coming towards Lonavla? The last meet, people spotted Aamir khan and posted photos in T-BHP.

Entire Mumbai T-Bhp meet is also planing for the same venue so I think we should be staying near Thane only. What is the opinion of other members on this one?

Arre vorabhai the BTC is crowded and is on the Nasik hoghway just before the Jindal Steel plant at Wasind. Unless a BTC has cropped up on the Ghodbunder road too.

@Khoj. What's there to chicken out here? It's a suggestion to rope in more members from pune as well. There are many avid members here. Remember the tapri meet we had here had over 20 members attending!

Just pulling your leg MX6.

For me travelling in either direction is OK but I think not all members would want to drive that far out. Maybe we can discuss the two cities mega meet on the 23rd with all in attendance and have a monsoon special.

Edit : Just discovered that you are already discussing the Bomaby Pune mega meet on a separate thread let us discuss this when we meet on the 23rd. Meanwhile if you could get more Pune members to join in for the 23rd it will be great
