UAE Team BHP Meet

Hello All,

Happy New Year to all BHPians in UAE!

Why not start 2010 with a meet?

While suggestions on the venue, format etc are verymuch required and can be discussed, based on the discussion with another BHPian in Dubai, Miindajp - thought would set the ball rolling.

Proposed dates:

Option 1. 29th January 2010
Option 2. 5th February 2010

Suggestions on Venue and format are required along with confirmation of participation

I hope we can put in collective effort and meet and get to know as many fellow BHPians as possible.

I am PMing a few know members with the link to this thread. Would request all who come in here to bring this to the attention of the UAE based BHPians

Today in the morning I sent a few PM to our fellow Bhpians and got a lot of reply. khan75, Hesbee, sabinesnubbing confirmed that 29th will be suitable for them. I personally is available on any weekends. So do our fellow bhpian - Surasen.

So, I would like to request our UAE friends to suggest the venue and confirm their kind presence.

Good initiative!

By the looks of it this is going to be the biggest UAE meet. Its long overdue.

But I'm sorry I wouldnt be able to make it since I'm leaving on vacation this Thursday (14/01/10) and tentatively back on 17/02/10.

Sadly I'll miss this great oppurtunity to meet you all tbhpians and to see Khan75's S6 and another ride in Steer's Jag.

Will keep logged in for meet pics and details.

I am jotting here for the first time further to acceptance of Teambhp moderator on my inclusion.
So let me take the oppurtunity to introduce myself. I am Surasen Goswami, residing in Dubai more than 5years now.
Well! I guess it would be needless to say that I am also an automobile enthusiast like all my other fellow bhpians & as confirmed by Milind about my inclusion for the meet in Dubai, I am looking forward to it.

Last weekend I send a lot of PM to our UAE members and you will be pleased to know that the response is overwhelming. I replied to most of the PM I received in response and informed them about this thread.

I would also like to share that most of our friends are comfortable with the 29th January date.

this is a great initiative!! unfortunately due to college, im back in india and i wont be able to make it!! hope you guys have a blast!! and do upload the pics so i can know what i missed!!

although i wont be attending it, why not you guys go to jabal hafeet. the roads are stunning and should provide for a fun-filled outing.. just playing a part here..

At this outset the idea of meeting at Jabeel Hafeet as suggested by bvin looks fine.
However as this is going to the first meet of the UAE bhpians & considering the fact that some of us might have professional commitments on the next day (saturday) & bhpians across Emirates would join, so I would like to suggest some park (Al Safa, Zabeel)/ Corniche(Jumeira, Sharjah) or similar kind of place which might be convinient for all of us.

Please pour in your suggestions.

I second the first one to be meet only. Choice of venue is open. It can be any where.

Date: 29th Jan 2010

Venue: I would list the following

1. Zabeel Park - The one entrance from near the Trade Centre
2. Mamzar Park, Dubai
2. National Park - Sharjah
3. - Abu Dhabi - Please suggest as I am not too familiar

Zabeel park, if need be and if family members would like to tag along - especially with kids - then it could be great and we can even order some home delivery of food to park.

Both Dubai venues parking is not a major issue.

As Surasen said please put in your views.
