Lovely pics Biju. It was really great meeting all you guys at Satara. Thanks to Ashish and Star for organizing this meet. A whole lot of new faces to connect to the handles. It was real fun. I look forward to future meets.

Just found out that my wife went in to a frenzy and shot a whopping 434 photos from her Point and Shoot. My DSLR had a modest count of 78.

Half the flowers had vanished this sunday. I compared photos of both my trips and the difference is stark. I don't think the flowers will be there for another weekend.

Here's a photo showing exposed crags of rocks at Kaas (something one couldn't see last weekend), with the T-BHP folks and their families and their vahanas as well.
Drive and Meet: Kaas. Report and Pictures from Pg. 27-3.jpg

Incidentally, Bolbolero's son got all his off-roading beauties and set them up on the rocks near water etc. Couldn't grab shots of that.

Gostel, I guess I missed your name in my earlier post of thanks. Sorry.

V&V, Don't think the flowers will last. Check with T-BHP before travelling. See my photo above.

@Gostel,

it was nice to meet you.
No need of any thanks as it was collective effort from all of us.

In the evening at kaas, i was looking at you and mrs gostel and then i realized that it was better if mai startse hi aap ke taraf dhyan diya hota.
At the end of day, me and my wife felt very sorry about it as i was too occupied with the things.

Ashish. I shall make a cd of over 100 photos for you.

@Nomad. I spent over 15 mins with the reception committee on the way back. incidentally anilisanil and I were the last to leave kaas with khoj. my baby had a great time gardening and petting monkeys.

we missed a nice tea session with all members in lonand phata. we should have broken off at satara instead of kaas. next time we can plan that way. what say?

my father had a great time with khoj. my mother had a great time with f1fan's wife. my mother didn't know that there were people who spoke malayalam and tamil as well. she speaks all south indian languages like me. anyway, my parents had company, my wife was busy shooting and I was watching my daughter grow up. loved every minute.

Thank you all. It was nice to meet you guys and it was like a big "hum saath saath hai" kind of joint family feeling. Though it was my first Team-BHP meet but did not feel being a stranger even for a moment.

The moment I saw Kaas, my immediate thought was, "whether we will see this valley as it is down to 5 years from now"?
At the end, the answer was "yes" coz the local forest authority was doing their work diligently, and Team-BHP members were attentive enough to instruct their kids from time to time not to stomp over flowers.

Once again thank you all for such an unforgettable experience.

PS: Definitely awaiting to meet again.

It was fantastic to meet all the people and put a face to the people and their handles. I missed the earlier meet at Lonavala but this time told myself to make it and it was fun. Thanks to Ashish/MX6/SVB for organizing this meet. Was groggy having missed lunch but overall a very pleasant experience.

Thanks Biju for the sanwitches. That helped to keep the hunger pangs away atleast till I managed to stop at Ruchi Park enroute Pune. Despite that stop as well having lost my way to NH4 in Satara, was able to make it to home by 8:00. Am not surprised Nomad was able to make it to Kalyan in 4 hours.

Ashish, I was planning to take my wife and son to Kaas next weekend. That is how I negotiated my trip yesterday as my son had school and looks like next week Kaas flowers have their own agenda. I have to take them out on a two day trip some where near Pune Could be beaches or hill station. Please suggest a good place to leave on Friday afternoon and be back in Pune by Sunday evening.

Did not take too many pictures myself. Expecting them from all those hands and minds that were busy with the camera.

Catch you all.

@Anainar

From Kaas, I'd suggest you drive down the Varanda ghat and proceed to Harihareshwar, Srivardhan, Diveagar.
Harihareshwar - MTDC resorts for 1100 bucks a night
Diveagar - MTDC exotica (better place and beach is really amazing) for 2500 bucks a night.
Climb up back to Pune through Tamhini ghat.
Please be careful. They are building a memorial on the place where I fell in Harihareshwar.

You can also drive down through Mahabaleshwar - Poladpur route instead of Varanda.
