Too many meet plans being made and too less meets actually happening. Lets just put a date and a venue, and see how many land up.

I actually enjoy the informal chai-tapri meets we have at our office, even if its generally me, Swanand & Maulik (sorry, @scholes - what a handle I say ) only. I find 3 is a good enough number. I think even a last minute trip will bring up more junta. So what say @dot?

Btw, I happen to be in Mumbai this weekend, and I'm going to the so-called mega meet tomorrow. Any Puneri junta planning to make the trip?

That's a good idea. I am in for a meet mid feb. Date: 12th Feb. Decide the venue. Wot say guys? Lets meet . Somebody, fix a venue as well. Maybe Chandni Chowk, for a quick bite & a drive to Mulshi or Khadak wasla/ Sinhgad.

Suggestions & names please.

What about going to Pavna Dam via Old Highway- Kamshet. Then we can have lunch at Lonavala and come back to Pune. The road is decent, highly scenic, but it is not a cake-walk drive.

Before we starting building a confirmed and tentative list, want to know from junta if Pavna dam is ok.

I am in (although I am guilty of promising and somehow now being able to make it yet :()

I have also heard about the Pune-Mulshi-Amby-Lonavla-Pune drive, never got around to it - heard the Mulsi-Amby stretch is best tried with plenty of company to keep you out of trouble.. is that true? Is that something we can try? I am very eager to do it...

Next weekend - I'm going out of station, but still if you guys get a good number, go for it.


P.s. Just came back from the morning drive of the Bombay meet. Lovely drive, especially the ghat section. Didn't attend the lunch party, had other plans. Will be putting up a few pics on the corresponding thread shortly.

I think some have already consented for 12 th feb, so lets Fix that date & see those who are in. I also suggest fixing Wakad Phata/ Sentosa resort on Bangalore bypass,as meeting point for further drive to Pavana Dam as suggested. I think we are converging towards 12 as date & pavana as venue. Do we make it final? Unless we make it conclusive, we'll be in planning stage till eternity. So what say folks? Put your hands up for the date/ venue. I'm in.

I've done the pavna dam trip via chandni chwk - paud village - pavna dam - somatne village - somatne Phata - old NH4 - pune.
This is more picturesque too. And no traffic...

Back after a long hiatus (on this thread)! I would love to do a drive to Pavana in Feb. Weather should be bearable at that time, and as usual, this would be a Sat/Sun event.

Well, taking into account the non IT folks, lets make it a Sun event. Only, lets NOT meet at an ungodly hour of 7AM or so.
