Our 2000 model 800 gives 18kmpl... in city... without ac.... its done 60k too... clutch plate, pressure plate, and front axles changed till now.

It is a 5 gear mpfi 800dx..... so i'am sure you are driving very easy to get that 18kmpl.

We don't have a mileage competition here.But since u started it,u're talking 18kpl with just a 37 bhp car.

Our member 'drifter' has a pete's chipped Accent making around 110 bhp and it gives 18kpl. Wanna beat that???

Hey,

You might want to add that it is a diesel accent and the discussion is I assume for petrol cars.

Diesel Vs Petrol buddy... and our 800 cc friend has a CARB.. Carbs aint as efficient as fuel injection(in general)

Good stuff bro, 18 km is real awesome!

@ viper & Ricetuner:

FYI,The post doesn't specify petrol or diesel, or Fuel-injected or carbed.

It was just somekind of a brag. I have a friend here who gets 20kpl off his carb M800. Infact, there are a million examples around the country..we don't wanna include them in this topic/ thread.

hmm..have'nt come across such FE figures yet, so thought this one to be worthwhile... let him "brag" a bit if it pleases him..no harm..

p.s: @nitrous no offence was intended bud

BTW, what is the big deal with M800s returning a highway mileage of 22kmpl ? I thought it was the norm rather than an exception.
We had an 85 model (first shape) M800 with which I have done many Madras-Kerala trips (800 odd kms one way) and it has always returned 22-23 kmpl on highways. And that too even when till last year (in its 19th year). All this being stock and with the usual 5K service.
Also, on highways, I do not drive for economy. Drive at around 80-90kmph
whenever roads permit.

humyum, actually you should be surprised if you did not get that kind of mileage.
