Default 4k + tax + Labour

Hi Guys,

I just got off the phone with Bosch Cars. He is quoting Rs.800/- to 900/- for the pads and fitting extra. He said he would be using the Bosch brake pads, how good or bad are the pads? If anyone is using it.

I checked with the great dealers of honda in bangalore too.

Whitefield Honda : 4k + Labor
Dakshin Honda : 4k + Tax + Labor
Magnum Honda: 3.8k + Tax + Labor

Any help is welcome.

Thanks,
Rohith

Hi Rohith,

Sorry for being slightly off-topic.

Could you share contact details of the Bosch guy please. I'm planning on getting the Brake Pads replaced for my lancer.

Thanks!

Tassem.

On the lighter side or brake pads would break.

Go with Bosch, Their products are world-class, and i don't think any after-market alternative would be even closer to Bosch quality.

I am using them in my santro, and if any friend drives my car, they are surprised with Braking power.

Go for Bosch

Thanks guys. I'll go get the change done today. Honda guys are exploiting customers as there aren't many dealerships.

Rs.800-900 was suspiciously low. Has anybody got it done on the OHC. The last thing that I want is the disk to deteriorate.

@Tassem : Any of the bosch car dealers will do the change.
Here is the link with the contact details of bosch cars in Bangalore:

OEM suppliers for Honda Brake pads are NISSIN.
Whitefiled Honda quoted 4K+ labour charges for the Brake pads change.

Default Re: Price of New Brake Pads for OHC 1.5?

My OHC is out from 60k servicing last week . HASS said the brake pad will last for only 1000 more km, They dont have the part in stock will get it if I order and it will cost Rs 3800.

I Bought KBX front brake pad pair for Rs 850 from a shop in Kochin . The guy is saying Type 2 Honda City ie OHC has brake shoe in the back Is that true ? Prize for that is also 800 - 900 range.

He doesnt have stock of that, as per his knowledge that will not ware out that often and rarely need replacement and a slow mooving item .However he can source(kbx) it ,if i want. How often we need to change that ?

OEM Honda (Nissin) brake pads cost 1250-1400 depending upon where you buy it from (except H.A.S.S).

Brake Shoes generally last much longer than the brake pads; have your mechanic evaluate the condition and then decide if replacement is required. Also check the brake liners and get the brakes cleaned.
