Default BMW 320D: bhp+torq increase through the years

Guys,
I'm in the market for a used 320D and I've seen so many numbers flying around for bhp and torque as the models sold in India were different to the ones sold abroad. The 2007 model had about 160 odd bhp while the latest 2011 one has 181 bhp. I'm looking for bhp and torq numbers (and 0-100 times if possible) for 2007 through to 2011 for the 320D. I'd appreciate the help.

Cheers

Any particular reason for this figure. i am very curious. If you are performance oriented guy, you have to be a petrolhead, period. After all not all diesel cars performs like Diesel Max. I know, I know petrol is expensive than beer now. But its the way it is.

Anyway to your queries, In India manufacturer detune their car and label it as made for india. Most common tweak is to lower the power a bit for effecieny and to cope with our quality of fuels. Second is the re-worked suspension setup, for our roads.

I don't know when exactly the specifications were changed, but the first lot of 320d were 161bhp with 350nm of torque, which was then upgraded (I think at the time of the facelift) to 175bhp with the same torque, and then midway through 2010 again to 181bhp with a 30nm increase in torque to 380nm.

The official numbers for the 177ps version were 8.3 seconds I think and for the 181bhp are 7.6 seconds.

Here is what I know:

Pre-facelift (2007-09): 156 ps, <don't know torque figures>
Post-facelift (2009-10): 177 ps, 350 nm
Uprated engine (2011): 184 ps, 380 nm.

In fact, if you want to see BMW's chori.... OTR Mumbai prices of BMW 320d Highline:

34.84 L (upto 2009)
36.48 L (post-facelift)
37.06 L (2010 price hike)
37.60 L (current figures, if I'm not mistaken)

Has the car gotten proportionately better? With the facelift, yes, but what about all the other price hikes?

There is E90 and E90 LCI (lifecycle impulse aka facelift) that was released. And I also know that the suspension, RFT's were later tuned to take the initial harshness out of the ride too. Does anyone know what model year that was? Wish BMW documented how their 3 series changed through the years. Considering how the F30 (successor to the E90) is on the cusp of release, prices for this model will likely go down further, no?
Anyway, thanks for the input guys. Appreciate it.

It looked like chori to me till such time I applied the foreign exchange effect. Prevailing FX of 65 to a EUR vs. Sub 60 to a EUR. In fact, if the car is nearly 100% imported and assembled here it looks to have gotten cheaper.

Or am I wrong?
