Yup. Battery fitted last evening. Still awaiting word of the final cost as they (Four Seasons) haven't told me what they're going to charge just yet.

Question Urgent! Help!

Hello all.
My 1.8 Octavia's Exide needs replacement. It lasted for 25 months. I have a low ICE setup (Pio 7950UB/Pio 4ch amp/GTO 607/Pio 6x9/JBL BTX250 Bass tube). I recently got a pair of 6000k HIDs.
So, Gurus please recommend a new battery for my ride.
Thanks in advance.

You're going to get varied opinions here, Some love the Exide, some the Amaron, and Some the Bosch..!

Amaron Markets well than Exide..But Exide still is the most preferred battery as OEM's for Car Companies.

As if i was not confused enough! All cars in our family have Exide. Some run fine, some have problems. But, I'm willing to experiment. On the forum, general consensus seems to be Amaron. What would you suggest considering my requirements?

Exide...Naturally! I don't find any loosing points against it, I've had my share with Amaron too, But will still go with Exide.

go for OEM. The price is right, and besides Skoda garage cannot accuse you of not following their recommendations.

I m so disappointed with Exide batteries that i switched to amaron 48 month warranty batteries on both my cars, and to my experience amaron has been performing superbly,i have 2 mono amps on my car and they put quite a load on battery, ive hear ICE at fairly high volumes without engine on still never faced any issues ever, its been 2 years since i got this battery on accent.

Default Amaron Pro for Laura

I fitted an Amaron Pro battery into my Laura last week. It cost me rs.7,800/- and comes with a 30 month replacement warranty and a further 30 months of discounts on replacements.

The model is DIN74 and the Ah rating is 75.

Cheers,

Hey Guys !!!

Is there any way to check in a DIY way weather the batt is drained and has no other issues. And after you give it to charging, They generally take a whole day. So, when you go to take delivery, how do we confirm that its fully charged. Also, most of the time when we give it for charging, they generally say that the batt is gone and you need to replace it, so that they could get a bigger sale.

I got conned in the same way once in bhopal when i was driving from vizag to delhi. I bought a new batt just because the shop keeper told me i need to. When i cam eback to vizag and gave my old batt for charging, they said it was all fine, just needed a charge.

So, how do we save ourselves from getting conned? s there any simple method we can have a check ourselevs.
