1. Install the package GPS trackmaker. You can search for it in google 2. Download data from your GPS system to the PC using either SD card or data cable. Different GPS systems have different ways of download. Mine uses SD card. 3. Open the downloaded data in the GPS trackmaker program. Then choose "Save as". 4. In the dialog which opens choose google earth .kml 5. Voila you can open the .kml file in google and see waypoints and tracks.

| BHPian | Guys, Please have a look at these maps available here. I got this information from Dr Rajan. looks like he is selling each of the city maps for 3K. http://search.ebay.in/_W0QQsassZgpsonlyQQhtZ-1 I spoke to Ajay Wadhava and he told me that we can get all 4-6 city maps (this is not from mapkings,, but Garmin's own stuff - dont know how we can compare it with MapKing) for about 6.5K from Mumbai, however the price is Delhi is very high @ 10K. i guess, even if we buy from this guy paying 3K for each city, we have to buy the navigation s/w to load on our PPC or PC. i'm keeping busy a lot these days and this maps stuff is not allowing me to study looks like :( I'll share some more info if I find something around this. However, I have decided to go with Holux GPSlim 236 and going to order soon (actually ordered y'day only but it got cancelled somehow). you guys still have an opportunity to provide me with your views on GPS Receivers ![]() thanks. |

so the guy who selling on ebay has purchased from mapking for 1500/- and selling for 3k and yes let me correct here about garmin map its not the garmin map, these guys just the distributors for garmin company and on thier own they are making maps so its Aerial services who are doing it. about correct pricing I will update you going to bombay this friday.. Cheers Wadhwa Ajay

| u might want to check out receivers with nemerix chipsets. they consume lesser power than Sirfstar chipsets. i'm using this BT receiver in my car along with Mapking , works like a charm. chk out the links in the airticle for review, comparison etc. |

| mapking uses the eicher road maps which are a little dated. hence lotta stuff might not be available. for the wrong turn - it must be set on shortest route calculator . i'm using the pc version of the mumbai map though. |
