Have had the squeaky noise in my baleno also.Dunt know if its the same same noise you have mentioned. I use the car only during the weekends and have this noise once i start my car. Eventually dies down in less than a minute.Superravi have you been able to find the root cause???? I was due to go down to RNS this weekend and couldnt do so..

Hey Jaggu, thanks man. That sound was really making me uncomfortable. I checked under the car after I parked and identified the location as somewhere near the silencer, so it could be the silencer pipes expanding/contracting due to heat.

It took two visits to Mandovi, but the sound is now pretty less. At times there is no pinging, but a couple of occasions there is this muted pinging noise, which is not as scary as before.

Thanks Samurai. I hope my uncle (and now my friend who's bought the car from my unc) have seen the end of that sound.

I now have a new problem in my siena, but that's in a new thread.
