Hey Dude,
Are you from bangalore?. If not you seem from Mangalore?? rite?... if you do drop by bangalore let me know... i will get the work done for you. I know people in mangalore who will do it. But they will surely charge twice as much. If you know a capable welder cum tinker.. i can help you with the design and you could get it done yourself.

Cheers
DOm

Hi,
Try using 1.5 inch primaries 15" long and about 18" 1.75" secondaries. And complete it with a 2" single pipe. Put the muffler about 20" away from where the two pipes merge into one.
Yes there are different sizes of filters. But what those guys are talking about is universal filters which you get in different sizes and costs

Cheers

K&N for esteem (oe replacements) i had got from US costed around 2.5k INR, u can goto there web site n find out replacement OE part number or go for other universal filters with intake.. only thing is get them professioanlly installed.. and leaving the intakes inside the car bonnet means u will be taking in HOT air which will kill the performance in hot conditions like that in India..

K&N filters you can get from karan from Daulat automobiles. His contact number is 22694401. Or you can email him on karanshah@hathway.com
Its better to go there at ballad estate and see what difference it makes on the car..

guys
i had written a to k&n asking if making a vent on the bonnet will really help .
the answer i got was as follows:

Usually on these kits, the black metal surrounding the filter serves multiple purposes. It protects the filter from any debris that may fly up. It catches more cooler air from the front. And sometimes, depending on the kit, it is used to support the filter.

The long, flexible tubing in the 57i kits is to direct cooler air at the filter

he also said that makin a vent wud not make that much of differnce.

http://www.knfilters.com/kits.htm

the black plate that he has refferd to can be seen in this link.

cheers
