Exclamation Siena - ECU check light not working

Hi TB,

I have an August 2002 Fiat Siena 1.6, and for the past two weeks the ECU check light is not working. I do however hear the 'bzzzzzzzz' 'thak' sound that the ECU check is happening.

I have been going to javli motors, and they dont have an ECU examining device, and have directed me to Concorde/Manipal/Prerna. Bosch doesnt have this facility either.

My questions:
1) I have had no problems with driving the car, it runs like a dream, fuel efficiency is the same as before. What do i have to be concerned about?
2) Has anyone else faced this problem?

Superavi

P.S. I'm based in Bangalore.

I heard somewhere in in this website about ECU of siena or petra, someone suggested on hosur road in bangalore between silk board and electronic city there is some service station who have experienced mechanics who can check this,

Its not Javalai motors soemone else I will search and post the url If I find something about it.

Ravi.

That would be fuel pump pressurizing the fuel lines before you fire the engine.

It could just turn out to be a blown MIL lamp.
