Darn.. Amazing thread. Audi and BMW surely know how to design an engine bay. Subtleness does appeal the minimalistic in me. I own a Celerio and one look at the engine bay feels like it has enough space to fit another smaller engine in it!

Apart from making some of the prettiest cars out there, Alfa Romeo's 'Busso' V6 HAS to be one of the most gorgeous engines out there.

Yes indeed, you beat me to it. Had two of those, beautiful engine and fantastic engine note, back to Indian cars, after my experience with Alfas, I now drive a Mahindra Thar and the driving experience may be different, very different, but it has a fair bit of endearing character an if I may, here is a it's engine bay in all its glory, without the plastic bit. Not bad imho

Thats a pic taken by me of the 560hp V10 creating an orgasmic havoc in the core of the Audi R8 GT.

Among the normal indian car's I really love how the Abarth's engine bay looks, That red logo is a sweet! Also XUV 500's engine bay looks very meaty and nice! The engine cover which is quite large makes the cheetah having a huge heart.

Germans are amazing aswell!

lol.. this thread is going places!!.. Like someone said, Each to its own...

I dont know which engine bay is the best among these, but what I do know is any super clean engine bay with white/non-faded lubricant/coolant containers just gives me a super high!

I especially like fully packed bays with super neat chromed metal fuel lines and sexy turbo pipes all neatly tucked in!

May be I have OCD?

Thanks for bringing us down to earth. The FIAT 1100 engine compartment looked much nicer than the Ambassador engine compartment.

Nice thread. I loved the Audi's bay. Very clean. Also the Skoda Superb's bay.

From the Original post, I see the Skoda TDI and TSI engine bays. The headlights look like the Rapid so am presuming the pic is of the Rapid. In my 2012 Rapid, the windshield washer inlet is on the driver side. This one has it on the passenger side.
Another thing I noticed is that my car does not have the hydraulic bonnet hold rods. The one posted in this thread has this. Is this a new feature in the latest Rapids?

Interesting to see the different coloured Coolant liquids across cars. Red, Green, Blue, pink etc etc. In India, I think green is the most common one?

Among the beautiful creations seen here so far, my vote goes to the Palio 1.6 and the Alfa Romeo ! Crush on Italians ? Maybe

I own a WagonR too. While it definitely looks bare and clumsy, the engine still has a cover. Have a look at a Baleno bay. It will look naked

Agree Suhaas, I had this in my list of favorite engines in this thread

But do we have one in India as well?

I really liked the engine bay of my Petrol Ford Fusion which I strongly feel is one of the best-looking.

Linea T-Jet's engine bay is also good looking and I was glad to see this confirmed by the very first post though that is about Abarth Punto.

As far as minimalist approach goes, the engine bay of Maruti 800SS makes the cut IMO.
