An interesting note about keyless engine start systems.

1. At low speeds, accidentally touching the button turned the car off
2. At higher speeds, the button is disabled.
3. However, if you still need to switch the car off using the start stop button, long press it to turn the car off.

Saw this comment below that article. "So you can turn off the signal, but most don't. Proverbially their lost. You have a 60,000 vehicle in your driveaway, and all you have to do to help protect it from being stolen is to turn off a signal, and you don't, then you're a mug. If it also takes, alternatively, to keep the key or keys in a metal container to block any access to its signal, and you don't do it, then you're a mug. With a vehicle like this, it should have a tracker, should have immobiliser that requires a code for the key signal to then operate the vehicle. Simply test it - put the key in a metal container and take it towards the vehicle, see if you can open the vehicle or even press start. It's not difficult, yet these owners fork out for the vehicle and just think everything else will take care of everything else. I do wonder what they do to earn the credit to afford the vehicle in the first place."

..and i still wonder what was the "need" of a keyless system after all? What need triggered it's development? :(
