Monseur Vikramaditya,

I suspect the rattling you're experiencing has something to do with those 7.1's

Solution - replace the 7.1 with a Pioneer tape player with 2 speakers from 5 years back and simply watch the rattles blown away. While you're at it, might I also suggest converting the Swift into a topless babe with 2 doors and porting/polishing heads, remapped ECU and that long pending TC with 8 psi bar boost ?! Should go well with your Psycho FFE.

On a lighter note, the rattles mentioned in my earlier posts were resonant rattles coming from the right-rear window, at lower speeds around 40 kmph. Not a big issue originally, but with RNS insisting that they spend their own money to further optimize my car, I was too large-hearted to deny them that pleasure.

Oh the 7.1's are now 4.1's. Well then I guess the rattling in my car is due to the speakers and not due the power window mechanism. Will get it checked once anyways.

Thanks in advance

Please check RC book of your car. Manufacturing Month and Year are clearly written in in there!!!!!

I'm surprise to see that many never had a look at RC book details?????

All these parts were replaced free of cost (under warranty).

The car is very very quiet now and drives like new!!!
Through which dealer you had booked your car. Checked with Cars India & they say they havent got any information from Maruti about free replacements.

I am surprised to find few reporting these free replacements from Maruti. My dealer also said they have no such information. Will any one of the beneficiaries be kind enough to get a copy of the communication of Maruti to their dealers for us to take it up with our dealers.

Exclamation Flaw in Maruti Swift Door regulators( all swift owners read this very imp)

Hi Guys,

In case if you are not aware abt this. Hurry to get ur door regulators replaced.

I had sort of ratling sound in both front doors from the day i bought the car.I went to my dealer several times, they used to fix the problem temporarily and used to say me that it is maruti's problem.

After a year i got frustated and sent a mail to Maruti itself. Immediately they called me and said that there is known problem with regulators and ordered the dealer to change it immediately. And they did it.

Thanks to Maruti for accepting and changing the regulators. Also there is a problem with car's back door clips.

Bye

Rudraji,

I had summoned all major astrologers during a conducive planet-star formation to help christen my thread with an auspicious name - which got changed now without consulting the same astrologers; whatever will I do now?! Boo hoo.
