Default OBD Connector Issue on the Swift

I connected an OBD II device to my OBD(On Board Diagnostics) Connector.
However things donot seem to work. The device does not move forward, post displaying **** CONNECTING ****

Can anyone throw light on whether the Swift is OBD II /EOBD compliant?

Some help on this is appreciated.

AB.

I am planning to bring a ScanGuage II to fit into my Swift Zxi. I want to see if I can plug the empty space below my HU. Trying to find if anyone has done this for Swift. Please share if anyone has done so.

There are some similar devices advertised in Indian Car magazines. I have no access right now. Will try to find how they match feature wise.

PM Me. I have done this, though I keep my SG a lil more mobile (I have multiple cars). I also got a spare ScanGauge.

The Scanguage does not work in Swift, nor in any of the Maruti cars. However it does work on Ikon, 1st generation Santros.
All MPFI Maruti's do come with OBD II ports but somehow the output is not compatible with Scanguage.

In Ford Ikon the OBD port is on the lower left side of A Pillar (below dashboard) It is enclosed behind a plastic flap cover.

^ Sss, I will check tomorrow upon this. But thank you so much! I'm like gleaming with overjoy upon knowing that the Ikon indeed has an OBD port!

^ rishibravo, i do not know! but by chance, do check your car's user manual and find if in the fuse list, obd is mentioned. like how, for my ford ikon, in the user manual, it says one fuse is for the interior lamp, OBD and radio memory.
