Default Can anyone please explain torque, ABS etc

hello team-bhp,
i m Newbie here, and would like to know about a few technical terms quite widely used while describing a car. Can Anyone explain what the term Torque mean in the context of a car's engine.
The other time that i would want to know is ABS.
