I like all the Fezzas (especially those specific ones in Mumbai which run around with Tubis ) but the Carrera GT has an awesome sound too. Just screeeeeeeams all the way to the redline !!

On Indian Roads I've never heard a better sounding car than Daewoo Cielo with the OEM Exhaust!

At the risk of getting flamed I have to say it is my Swift Zxi equipped with it's Cosworth high flow air induction kit complete with a breather valve.

I got it a few days prior to my Bombay-Delhi run earlier this month. That the sound was addictive was clear enough in the basement of the Cosworth office building in Pune itself where the install was done by their engineer and out on the highway it was pure music to my ears for the entire 1500 kms run.

Am going in for their Carbon fiber end can next.

Like many other, I also sail in the same boat of not hearing the exhaust note of the listed cars. But however, among Indian cars 118NE made a neat sound and amongst jeeps the JONGA has a nice note.

To talk of stock cars on Indian roads, i loved the sound of a well tuned Premier Padmini.

There are many great sounding cars, but my favourite is the Porsche Carrera GT, especially after seeing its review on TopGear. The Howl is just... well, just watch it here:

Others include the:
Mercedes AMG SL55 and new SL63
The Lamborghini Countach
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
BMW E46 M3
Lexus LF-A
Ferrari F355

Reviving this thread with three of the best sounding cars in recent times!

Cars that I've heard in person? Well..

- 355F1 Spyder (Tubis or not)

- Lamborghini Murcielago Barchetta

- Ferrari 458 Italia

- Porsche 911 Carrera (the one with the AeroKit in Bangalore sounds astonishing, even though the exhaust is just a regular optional extra from the Porsche factory)

Cool Best sounding engines in the World!

Hey there Bhpians!!

We all love cars! And the first thing we see when we judge them is the Growl their Engine makes.

I found this great video which has compiled seventy of the greatest sounding car engine startup's in the world. Thats right, 13 minutes of pure bliss music to every petrolhead's ear! Many of you guys must have already seen this, but no automotive enthusiast ever saw any car video just once.
As we all know its Gandhi Jayanti and a national holiday. So let's make this video a great start to this holiday with Family, Friends and offcourse, Team-Bhp

Also reply which car's exhaust note pleased your ears the most!

Starting with me:
Lamborghini Aventador

Cheers guys. And happy holiday!

Kicking up a rather old thread to share this: Aston Martin has a Soundcloud account!

No guessing what all the tracks are about:

For me a car that does not make any sound at all is the best one. I always prefer the types wherein huge power is getting developed and no-one ever notices it. The power of silence is the what i appreciate. Without any offences to anyone, if a car makes some huge noise, it may sound good and fascinating for sometime but after that same sound becomes irritating. I would really prefer a car which goes on to develop speeds up-to 300 MPH and just the tyre noise.
