Default Heat Under the Steering in Indica

Yesterday i went on a drive for abt 20Kms while returning back after a break of a hour ,i suddely noticed that it had began to get very hot around my knees,i felt the space under the steeing wheel and noticed that it had got quite hot. When i reached home i opened the bonnet and found that both the sides were very hot, rest of the place was ok.My car is an Indica Turbo.
Is it something i shld be concerned abt?
