Since santro owners must be reading this so i have a question if someone can answer.

My 4 yr old Xing's Dholki (silencer) is rusted and car screams with a heavy note and Hyundai original costs 5500/- approx .
So just checking if it can be purchased from the local market and what would be the price ?

I have seen few santros who have broken sielencers bcoz of rusting .....

Go to near Jessa Ram hospital, Karol Bagh, there are lots of small shops doing silencer repair jobs only, if a replacement is needed it will be done too at lesser cost.

I got my Santro serviced on 9 Oct, from Trident Hyundai Kanakpura Road, and only got a discount - Nothing free. I was told the discount is being given because of the free check up campaign.
BTW, for a normal paid service, with only Wheel balancing and rotation as extras, the bill ran to 2600 - 1000 for parts (Oil, filters, weights) and 1600 for labour....quite expensive i would say

I had got done the silencer (dholki ) work in my santro twice. I was told that because of santro efficiency, it generates more water, hence the silencer gets rusted. There is specialist silencer (dholkiwala) in Model town. It is in a gali adjacent to Model Town Police station (Opposite Alpana cinema). I think he took Rs 500/- for the silencer and some more 100-150 for labour. (Total below Rs 1000/-). but this workd for no kore than 12-18 months. my last one is working for last 24 months
i hope it helps..
