Santro Service Query

I last serviced my car in 07 march. Since then it has run
about 4000km. Do I need to service it evey 5000km or
every six months ? I don't like the hyundai paid service,
they charge too much. Can someone suggest me alternatives to hyundai paid service.

Whats your odo reading?
How much did they charge you? And could you post details of things they replaced.

According to Hyundai, the santro service is scheduled for 10,000kms or six months whichever is earlier.

Yes, the charges are slightly on the higher side, but you could get it reduced if you supply engine oil of your choice and ask them not to add on anything "extra" like engine treatment, wheel alignment/balancing, emission test etc, which you can get done outside at a much lesser price.

If your car is still under warranty, it is advisable to get servicing done at the A.S.S.

Got my car back after another paid service from Hilton Hyudnai, Ulloor, Tvm.

Here's what I paid for...

1) Windscreen Wash 17.77
2) Battery Water 15.55
3)Consume 40.00 ( whats this?)

4)Injector Cleaning 170.00
5)Paid Service 540.00
6)Wheel Alignment 185.00

With vat the amount came to 1088Rs.

I am perfectly happy with the service of these guys. Didn't change engine oil as I had already changed it at MyTvs. There was some squeaking noise from boot ( thanks to sub) which was sorted out.

Odo reading 41500.

My odo reading is about 13300. Its a two & half year old car. Usually drive it in the city. No major problems so far.My free service and warranty are over. What are the list of things I need to ask them to do ?

i usually do it at 10000 kms and not at 6 months. average time interval is around 9-10 months which i think is acceptable.

There are certain jobs specified by the manufacturer for each service interval, and these are done by the A.S.S.
If you have not noticed any problems just ask them to do a normal service and they would take care of all required parameters.

you can ask them not to do certain things like I mentioned earlier, in order to get a lower bill.
