The previous VIN MAJBXXMRTBAYXXXXX is BS III. So Ford sent me new vehicle with VIN MAJBXXMRTBAS8XXXX (hopefully BSIV). Could you please decode this and let me know as much details as possible from this Vin.

Need some help with decrypting the Chasis No for Punto.

MCA 118 15E 07013158 BNZ

I have been thru the VIN thread, the 'B' refers to Feb ...what does NZ represent ? How do we confirm it means 2010 ?

My worries are around Euro 4 model, please confirm how does one check that ? Since which month has FIAT gone Euro 4 for Punto ?

Thanks Wildon . Checked Form 22, clearly marked as BS IV (as against older one which marked as BS III).

Ford marks BS IV Fiesta's also in its Chassis/Engine sticker (rear right window) as STG4 (e.g. Ford Fiesta 1.6SXI STG4), earlier vehicles didn't have this mentioned.

Other buyers beware that Form 22 from Ford mentions a comment/note of BSIII and BS IV, and what that abbreviation means. Dealer might force you to think that this note itself is sufficient. You have to check BSIV compliant directly against in vehicle description against in note to find out the emission compliance. My dealer try to force the vehicle , I flatly refused. Check emission confirmation before you buying the same if you are one of the cities where BS IV is must.
