I have never downshifted from 5th to 4th, it has always been 5th to 3rd. 4th is not very useful in my car.

Ditto Ditto In the zen.Btw was this gearbox problem caused because of the engine generating more than the stock power because of the petes in place?

I was also about to ask this - is the Pete's box causing accelrated/uneven wear of the 2nd gear syncro?

I totally agree with MF, getting to fourth is not the smoothest from 5th, 4th is very very important gear in the Swift D and used very often.

The box is lying with me, i will install it once the car is back, that is around 6PM or so.

Certainly not, Petes box is a tried and tested device and i am 100% sure it hasnot caused any harm. Infact before the car was Peted, there was gear oil leak, so its more to do with MSIL quality then anything else.

BTW there are many Petes cars running successfully all over the world and there have been no issues reported.

Is this Multijet + Gearbox combo (used in Swift DDiS here) taken from any other car in Europe "without changes"?

The 2nd gear synchornizer slot had worn and got cut.
So my prediction was correct

My Suzuki Ignis had exactly same problem few months back. Suzuki UK replaced the synchromesh under warranty.

Yes...and my humble point was - the Pete's box for Swift DDiS can only be assumed as "thoroughly tested in Europe" if the excact engine+gearbox combo is sold in Europe and the Pete's box for Swift is the same as the one sold for that combo in Europe.

No offense meant to anyone here (Peter or PSI Motorsports or to Busa). But we all know that any software can have issues and Release 2.0 is always better than 1.0 :-)

anand - Peter tests the boxes in India himself before it is launched, and tested in our conditions to make sure there are no issues, no wonder the Innova box was launched after 2 years the car was launched, simply because till they(Petes Performance Product) dont find the box absolutely reliable they dont launch it.
