Wanted advice on the following issues

1) The mystery of katak - katak sound from the front wheels when going over a pot hole.

Has any one narrowed down on the problem

2) I get a funny noise like something is loose under the steering column area when riding over rough patches

Any idea what this can be

3) I recently had a denting job on an area about 1 sqft on the rear right side panel over the wheels. The repainting looks fabulous under sunlight but when seen under shade or under a tubelight the paint appears smudged. I am guessing it is because of bad denting job, put when I rum my hand over the surface appears smooth.

Any solutions for this, will rubbing help

4) There are lot of swirl marks left by the faithful washer boy,

Any solutions for this, will rubbing help

5) There are swirl marks on the all the glass surface

Any solutions for this

Thanks in advance

What colour is it? Please post a pic if u can.

the only temporary solution to the khatak sound is get all the bolts tightened after a few thousand kilometers, but its going to come back. even esteems have this problem to some extent though not as pronounced. so it seems that there is something about the maruti steering columns.....

for the noise over potholes check if suspension is ok..sometimes the nuts on the top of them in the engine bay could be lose and cause the struts to make that noise..check if only on bumps or even at turns??

Yes there is. The service guy said that the sound does appear. He mentioned a reason which I have promptly forgotten :). It has cropped up a bit in my 25K kms/2yr old car, over rough roads.

It was a lot more pronounced in a 6.5yr old Baleno which I drove recently.

Somebody on the forum almost got a PhD for analyzing and finding a remedy for the infamous khatak sound !! :p.. Please search for the relevant thread.
