Default Huge price drop on Mitsubishi Spare Parts

Let the figures do the talking. The spare part prices for Cedia are down 30-70% across the board. Mind you these are still made in japan parts and not local ones.

Cedia Part Prices

Part Old Price New Price
Airfilter 458 350
Front Door 20570 15500
Bonnet 16427 11920
Front Windscreen Glass 10257 8543
Front bumper 11989 8400
Side Mirror with Casing 5852 4300
Front Suspension Lower Arm 7015 3850
Clutch Disc 5197 2774
Pressure Plate 7064 2976
Front Shock absorber 8225 4573
Front Fender 12964 4600
Front Brake Pads 4445 3400
Headlight Assy 14047 5975
Bootlid/Tailgate 15229 9700
Wheel Rim 6900 6000
Tail Light Assy 7646 7200
Clutch Release Bearing 3391 1206
Front Brake Disc 6067 2200
AC Evaporator Coil 21953 18500
Radiator Hose 880 368
Wiper Blades 2312 1422

Similar price drops on Pajero/Lancer part prices too. The infamous 85000 tailgate of the pajero is down to a much more manageable 18500.

This basically settles the biggest complaint detractors had about the Cedia... high spare part prices. Now afaik these are some of the lowest in the D segment.

I heard customs duties on certain items have been drastically reduced. Some of these prices listed out are pretty much in the esteem range. that makes it pretty cheap.

Well I went to Lathangi today and they had this huge board at their entrance with pamphlets comparing old and new MRPs of spare parts. You might wanna just confirm with Prasad about it.

Recently had a crash. FRont bumper replacement was in need. Also some other touchups like Fog lamp grill, turn indicator lights etc.

I was given an estimate of 35K. I paid only 5K as difference amount.(costs probably around 10-11K)
That's a reduction by 2/3. Also dealer installed a missed air dam wing (small wing on the air dam covering the front bumper) for free.

This was about 3 weeks ago.

SADLY.......... Also the service quality which I used to appreciate a lot has come down big time. The fit and finish was so bad I had to hammer the service manager. He promised to get it done properly though and I am supposed to send the car this monday.
