Default AC related issue

Summers are here and now i use AC with full blow. Lately from past 3 - 4 days i have been facing a problem regarding pickup with AC on.

If i am in 3rd gear and cruising @30 - 35 and press the accelerator the car picks up slowly. Now i understand it will pick up slowly but as soon as it hits the speed of 45 - 50 it jumps like anything. Pickup increases and it feels like AC is not on. But the problem is lot of times i have to break down to avoid rear ending someone. The sudden increase in pickup is like in diesel cars you get the feel of TURBO kicking in suddenly.

The car in picture is 800CC Alto.

I guess the AC compressor is getting cut off, hence the sudden increase in pick up. Get the AC tested.
