Palio 1.2 NV: strange sound with ac on!!!

off late whenever i switch on the airconditioner of my car (palio 1.2 nv petrol), a loud 'ktrr ktrr Ktrr' noise comes from the bonnet. the noise stays there for good 5 to 6 minutes and sometimes it stays for longer. the sound is like somebody is cutting is cutting a thick sheet of steel with a chain saw.

your suggestions please!

There must be something like paper or some junk touching your blower fan dude. As i had this problem in the esteem and we found lots of junk as a rat had made its house in our car. It may be the culprit

immediately go to the mechanics and clean the blower of the AC. the blades are hitting something inside.

Your A/C compressor belt may be slipping. See if the sound goes away when the compressor is switched off (i.e turn off the AC button), but the A/C blower still on.

Would like to inform that the flow of air(from the ac vents) is smooth.

could it be some faulty bearing, which is making this noise?

if its a squeezing sound then its the AC belt. it doesnt make krrr sound but a harsh irritating squeezing sound. AC belts tend to get loose. u have to keep on adjusting them during services

the slip in belt will make noises. its similar to the noise when u rub ur new shoes or slippers on a polished floor.

Variety of reasons - mostly if it is wet (early in the morning). Head over to the nearest A.S.S and they will tighten it for you in 5 minutes.

And this sound is really an annoying one. Most of the Indicas has this sound, when the belt gets wet, and especially when the engine is started.
