Baleno Silencer Issue - Team-BHP

Hi Guys,

Just had a question on the silencer of Baleno. Today when I was looking at the car, I relised that the silence of my car was way down. This made me feel that probably the silencer is dislodged.

Kindly help me on this.

Other baleno owners can comment but you can also have a look at another Baleno parked somewhere to make out the differences yourself, usually the silencer will not touch the body but will have clamps or arms to keep it in position.

My Baleno silencer also looks similar. If u want i can post a pic by evening.

All balenos are like this. i made a stupid decision of moving it up and now find the floor area below hand brakes become much hotter than before. i am waiting for the day will go free flow so that i can get rid of the whole thing.

I have seen many baleno silencers , they all look almost misaligned, but not definetely.
Nothing to worry.

my baleno is the same. The only problem is that it touches speedbreakers at the slightest excuse. Learn to live with it.

Kailash nothing to worry about. I don't find anything wrong with the way it is sitting from the pic.

Nothing to worry. Thats the way it is designed.

But when i saw the white supra in blore many years back, i saw the exhaust pipe (not the end can) was only a few inches from the ground. Used to wonder how he managed the speed breakers without scraping it.

same thing happened to me when i bought the car but later realized thats how it is sad thing bout it hugs each and every speed breaker on the road

The reason I was talking about the silencer is that I think that is the one that scraps in on the most speed breakers. The moment you have 4 person on board with some luggage in the trunk then there would surely be a scrap on the speed breaker

Is there any way we can increase the height of the car so that it does not scrap so easily. Kindly let me know.

Guys can some one help me and tell is there a way we can increase the height of the car. I had been to one of the mechanics and he said in his typical tone - "suspension uthana padega". Is there any such thing that can be done in Baleno.
