From what i can see, carbon fibre hasn't been used IN the engine, but its been used for valve covers, intake-trumpets and even the fuel rail to the injectors it seems. The advantage of the CF in these applications being weight saving. cya R

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Not only weight saving, with these engines running 18000+rpm just imagine the amount of fuel pressure inside these fuel rails, using CF it will help fuel run a lot cooler than a conventional type fuel rail.
