Esteem's AC needs repair... - Team-BHP

Hi Guys,

My Esteem's AC has not been cooling... i took it to Maruti Service Masters last week to get it checked... but the outcome was the compressor has gone... and it could cost upto 25k...

I brought my car back from there... i want to check if there is a nice local market in New Delhi where this can be repaired best technically and at best rates...

Please help me here... i am dying in delhi heat...

Sighhhhh!!!!!!!! Aren't you in the same shoes that i was only a few weeks back ?

Here is what i did. Yes, ABT Maruti gave me an estimate of 25k towards replacement of compressor, dryer, expansion valve & if necessary the condensor. I got the same thing done outside for 16k including condensor & the pipes.

Yeah, I know how that hurts.
If you need to change only the compressor, it should be within 10k.

There's a famous A/C repair place in Central Market, Lajpat Nagar. When you enter the market after the Samara Hyundai showroom, it's on your right.

Hay,

I have the same issue on my esteem but I have some info to share. The compressor costs Rs/- 4500 (inquired at Lajpat Nagar and in Gurgaon) in the open market. Hence if the blower and the condensor are fine the cost of complete repair should be around 6000.

Rajnish, I boubt the compressor costs Rs.4500, because the coil itself is close to Rs.4k...

I agree with esteem lovers pricing, around Rs.10 K for the compressor, that is what I was told by my AC walla...

Could you please give some more details of the compressor?
And is this a NEW compressor or a refurbished one?
I'm having difficulty believing the price!

Most probably its the compressor bearing.

Even if you have to buy a new compressor the total cost including gas charges will be around 9000 for original Subros compressor

The compressor bearing was around Rs.500, I got it done last month itself..it is also used in power steering of Esteem.

Hi Guys.

I got my AC fixed from Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi... MSM had told me wrong that compressor is gone...

The local guys changed the AC discharge pipe and dryer and it is now working perfectly...

It costed me Rs. 2500/- to fix it....

If anyone needs to know the address, can reach out to me...
