About that digital thing, are you talking about scan gauge too?
Any way don't you think electronics can make mistakes and this is more accurate?

What i dont understand is that the bottle technique being discussed about, is it also using a pressure pump because unlike a bike where gravity does the work of fueling the carb, an MPFI engine uses a pump to fuel the injector at a certain pressure, if that bottle is used to feed fuel to the injectors, where do you get the pressure(fuel pressure) from. Without which this IMHO would not be an accurate way of measuring FE. Because Fuel Pressure plays a major role in a car's FE and performance.

yes it does and thats why this method is more accurate in diesel cars.

And for petrol cars, you hve to fit a connect a external high pressure fuel pump as told by viper.
