I will contact TATA about this. Because they should be selling 1.4 too because XETA GLX is 1.4....

Volkswagen plans to go totally turbo in 3-4. years time.

]The automaker will phase out conventional gas engines in three or four years in favor of more powerful and fuel-efficient turbocharged gas and diesel powertrains.

VW plans to replace its three remaining naturally aspirated or conventional gas engines — a five-cylinder 2.5-liter and two six-cylinder variants — with turbocharged engines.

Since both the petrol and diesel indicas use the same block I think it can take some amount of extra stress.

If you are ready for a swap why not try to locate the DOHC 100bhp engine from the Indigo XL Petrol (but will be tough to locate one)
